40 Days of The Word Starting February 5th 2012, we will be embarking on a spiritual transformation campaign called " 40 Days in the Word" The program itself is designed by Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Community Church. Not only our teaching will be based on this program but our small group as well. You will also be given keychain and bookmark to remind of The Word of God. The goal of this campaign is to help you to * Love the Word of God like you've never loved it before* Learn the Word of God like you've never learned it before* Live the Word of God like you've never lived it beforeNo other habit can do more to transform your life and make you more like Jesus than to study and act upon God's Word. God's Word is unlike any other book. It is alive. When God speaks, your life will be transformed, but that can only happen by making the Bible the authoritative standard for your life: The compass you rely on for direction, the counsel you listen to for making wise decisions, and the benchmark you use for evaluating everything. Come and join this journey together.
TESTIMONIALI am very thankful to have been led to the Clay Church. There is not just preaching going on here but caring for one another most importantly. I am happy to say that this is demonstrated from top down as we all strive for spiritual maturity together with patience and hope. In addition, this is truly a church of many nations as in the new testament. Different people growing together because the culture of Christianity unites us all.-The Harazko-I met Pastor Heintje and Holly Yin at my place of business. The positive attitude from both of them was so uplifting. When I found out this young Asian man was a Pastor, I wanted to ask questions. I was looking for a church. I was curious to know what type of church and people he ministered to. I was drawn to the Pastor and Holly’s story and how they ended up here in Arizona. I finely mumbled and asked what nationality are the people that attends his church? He responded by saying “HUMANS”!!Humans??! Wow…LOL. Humans goes to his church? I was enthused at the Pastors attitude and his sense of humor. I new then that any one who walked into his church, was excepted. We are human and God made us as equal. So I decided I had to check this church out. And I did. And I was impressed. I have been attending ever since and it’s been over a year now.Over the course of my life I have looked for a church that will teach me the bible… with people that would make me feel welcomed, comfortable and accepted. This is what I have found in The Clay Church. -Fran-The Clay Church is like a family to me. The first time I met Pastor Heintje, I was impressed by his caring heart and down-to-earth personality. The more I've gotten to know him, the more I realize how much he wants God's best for each and every one of us. The people here are a loving, encouraging, and accepting community who come from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities. Together we enjoy relating to each other as Christians saved by God's grace through our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are also finding new ways to serve God and to be involved in ministry as we worship God, study the Bible, and grow in our relationships with God and with each other. I'm thankful for the people I've gotten to know and the blessings I've experienced since becoming involved with The Clay Church.-Steve-

SMALL GROUPHow do you be a part of a family? Some say attending a church but if we take a closer look at the early church, being in a small group makes you be part of the family. This is what church truly ought to be.When we look at the book of Acts we see a church that didn't just meet together for corporate celebration but met together in homes throughout the community. Acts 2:42 tell us that the church devoted themselves not just to the principles and practices of Christian living, but to fellowship. Literally, they partnered together in life, encouraging and supporting each other, enjoying life together, meeting each other's needs, and figuring out life's challenges together. As a result of this combination of devoting themselves to the teaching of the Apostles, corporate worship and fellowship they developed an unquenchable passion for the Lord that led to more people coming to know the love, power and forgiveness of Jesus. It's this picture of church that we desire to pursue. We want to be a people who are radically devoted to Jesus and relentlessly loving one another. We desire to be a people whose hearts burn to share the gospel and see the glory of God transforming human lives. Our Small Groups play an important part in our desire to become the church we read about in the book of Acts.Scottsdaleinfo: Meet on Friday 7:00pm. Maybe you are one of them that wonder what's behind the name? well you are not alone for sure. The name The Clay Church was taken from the word "Clay". The clay itself is hugely symbolic, biblically, as many the refrences to God, the potter and us the clay. The clay is formed and fired and made strong are analogous to the life processes that form people and make us strong, beautiful and useful. Man was created from the Clay of the earth according to Genesis 2:7 since the word clay and dust are often used interchangeably for soil or earth from ground. The word being used in that passage was "formed" means to mold as potter molds the clay As the man sins, death came to us and depict the picture of a broken clay but bodily resurrection of Jesus restored and renew us just like potter renew the clay. God as the great Potter, the Sovereign God has the right to create, or to remake any man, and the clay has little to say about the matter! The story of Gideon sums up the meaning behind this church. God has asked Gideon to attack the Midianites and the Amalekites whose armies according to the bible is like the sand on the seashore not with 22,000 soldiers but 300! Gideon was able to defeat the enemies not using advanced weaponry but with trumpets and empty jars that has torche inside of them. Trumpet is a symbol of the presence of God and jar made of clay which symbolized us need to be broken (Judges 7:7-22) in order to let the inner light shine through! We, human as mere vessels of clay were designed to hold and contain a priceless treasure which is the spirit and soul. The vessel is not nearly as important as the treasure that was designed to contain and reveals. As Gideon defeated the enemies with the presence of God and light that shine through the broken clay, The Clay church was formed to manifest the presence of God so that the light in this molded clay can shine in the surrounding community

The fundamental teachings of the The Clay Church are reflected in the following clear statements of faith:•We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort in all matters with which they deal, including scientific and historical as well as moral and theological (II Tim 3:16; I Cor 2:13). •We believe in the Eternal God-head who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible (Matt 28:19; II Cor 13:14). •We believe in the literal, special creation of the existing space-time universe and all of its basic systems as indicated in Genesis. •We believe in the full historicity and perspicuity of the Biblical record of primeval history, including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the progenitors of all people, the literal fall and resultant divine curse on the creation, the worldwide cataclysmic deluge, and the origin of nations and languages at the tower of Babel (Gen 1-11). •We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Rom 5:12,18). •We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isa 7:14; 9:6). •We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples (I Cor 15:1-8; Rom 4:25). •We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church (John 14:2-3; I Thess 4:13-18). •We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Eph 2:8-9; Heb 9:12, 22; Rom 5:11). •We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Christ (Mat 28:19; Acts 2:38-39; 19:1-6). •We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation and a distinct aspect of the Christian foundational experience (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 19:6). •We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14, as manifested in the Early Church. •We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith (Eph 5:18; II Cor 6:14; 7:1). •We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church (Acts 4:30; Rom 8:11; I Cor 12:9; James 5:14). •We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers (I Cor 11:23-32). •We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48; II Thess 1:9; Rev 20:10-15). •We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and eternal judgment of Satan and his angels (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:10-15).Psalm 40:2 : He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm
